Heather Hopkins Freeland has joined LinkedIn as the Chief Brand Officer. Previously, she was the CMO Advisory Council (Soundboard) at Spotify and held the position of Chief Brand Officer at Adobe.
She was the VP of Marketing at Lyft and the CMO Advisory Board at Ridge Ventures.
She held the position of Head of Global Marketing Communications at Meta, where she founded and spearheaded internal global creative and digital agency (The Guild) designed to bring alive the B2B brand of Facebook across all channels, including integrated marketing communications, events, advertising, sales, print, digital and OOH. At Meta, she led the development of Facebook’s brand strategy.
Heather Hopkins Freeland also helmed the position of VP, Brand Marketing at Gilt Group and was the Chief Marketing Officer at Gilt City.
She started her career as the Managing Director at Widmeyer Communications, later transitioning to the roles of Senior Vice President at Digitas and SVP, Marketing and Sales Development at MTV Networks Digital.
She is an alumnus of Columbia Business School where she studied MBA in Management and University of Virginia.
At LinkedIn, she will be overseeing Brand and Consumer Marketing as the Chief Brand Officer. With her strong expertise and experience in brand communications, growth marketing, brand strategy and others, LinkedIn’s growth trajectory is going to reach newer heights.
