Kolkata, March 4th, 2026: The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, is at present in its knockout stages. The 10th edition of the tournament has started on February 7th, 2026 and will end with the final match on March 8th, 2026.
India has reached semi-finals in T20 World Cup and will be playing against England on March 5th, 2026, Thursday at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. The four spots in the semifinals are occupied by the England cricket team, New Zealand cricket team, South Africa national cricket team and the Indian cricket team.

Background
Overall 20 teams are competing in 55 matches spread across three venues in Sri Lanka and five in India.
In the final Super 8 fixture, India won over West Indies, knocking out two time winners and repeating the 2024 semi-finals.
The final winners of the two semi finals will face each other at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 8th, 2026.
The Super 8 stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World 2026 has concluded on March 1st, 2026, featuring eight teams divided into two groups –
Group 1 : India, South Africa, West Indies, Zimbabwe
Group 2: England, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka
From Group 1, South Africa and India advanced to the knockout stages and from Group 2, England and New Zealand reached the knockout stages.
The first semi-final between South Africa and New Zealand is scheduled for March 4th, 2026 at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata followed by India vs England on March 5th, 2026.
